I won! And I cannot believe it!

lol! Yes I did it! I am very proud of what I achieved but I am also humbled and so grateful. I love creating and this just eggs me on to fly higher and do better. I love pushing myself and I have been blessed with the best support system in this digital community. To my friends (you guys know who you are! ;) ) I could not have done this without you…Thank you!

Look for these kits to debut in the TDC Shop with lots and lots of improvements and add ons…

And as a side note to anyone who doubts themselves…dont! Believe in yourself…as soon as you start having faith in yourself you will be amazed at the heights you can and will achieve!

Take Care and hope you have a wonderful weekend…I am so busy I have not even had a chance to answer my emails! Eek!

Another Flower Addiction…

October 2, 2010 | Filed Under Scrapbooking | 2 Comments

Yes I am one of those people that love flowers…my whole house can be full of flowers and it probably will still not be enough. I love the simple beauty of them and the fact that they just make me happy!

I have been dying to do these flowers by Rhonna Farrer on the Heidi Swapp Live webshows.

I got me some silk and pretty bling bling…love love! ;) Oh and the Fabri Tac. So one day the power went out and well since I just had nothing to do I started playing. These flowers really are so much fun to make and Chrismari wears it to school each day. She loves the rosette with the pretty flower gem. I need to get some feathers and netting too to make them even more fabulous.

And I never shared these either…

I was inspired to do this while looking at a project @ 2peas but for the life of me I cannot find a link to her project so you can see how she did it. If anybody knows please just let me know!

Thank so much for looking.

Chrismari’s 5th Birthday Album and Pages

September 29, 2010 | Filed Under Kitty, Scrapbooking | 2 Comments

I finished this mini-album over the summer, just had not had a chance to photograph it yet. I used a mini album kit by Me & My Big Ideas. I added some Hambly Butterflies and Die-Cuts from the Cricut Once Upon a Princess Cartridges.

While I was on a roll I made these 2 pages also with her birthday photos:

Here is a closer look:

I love my Slice! ;) I did the alpha and butterflies with it.

Lots of Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday Goodies and I did some masking with my die cuts and Glimmer Mist. Dont you just love glittery alphabet stickers? Ooh I do soooo much! ;) Hope you enjoyed these projects!

Back to School…

September 22, 2010 | Filed Under Hybrid, Kitty | Leave a Comment

Okay yes I know school actually started a month ago :) But I am ‘finally’ (Or should I say Hopefully?) getting back on track. It is so funny when Chrismari was at home I had so much to do and so little time…now with her out of the house all morning I find I am sometimes walking around the house wondering what I should do? lol! I hope it is not some kind of empty nest syndrome or something. At least my house and laundry is up to date although I have been slacking in the creating department. Sigh I hate it when I get these slumps, I do think it is directly corellated with my mood plus I have this huge headache that just is not going away. Drinking a hot cup of tea and going to lie down for a few minutes while Christian is still napping…I think it is a good idea!

I am so proud of my little girl, she work so hard at school and is already reading up a storm at home. She cannot wait to get home and read her books for homework!

I made her some flash cards to practice her sight words. I laminated them in the hope that someday I might be able to use them for Christian! lol!

Each set includes a score card so we can make a little game of it. I chose not to put it onto a ring so we can keep it random and we can make a pile of words she knows and those she does not then she can count the ones she got right (yay number practice!) and review the ones she didn’t. I hope this will help her somewhat with the challenges she faces at school but she keeps on surprising me, she is so bright and the sweetest child!

In other news…a little birdie told me that my Brother is engaged!!! I am so excited for him, now I also have a very good reason to visit home you know I cannot miss a wedding! ;)

And if you have not yet noticed, I entered the DSA Established Designer competition and I made 1st place in this weeks entry!!! OMG This is so exciting for me! Thank you to each and every fan/friend’s support I seriously appreciate it so much especially after I nearly gave up last week…I was just feeling so blue (Man I have to get out of this bad mood!)

I will chat again later but I have to go catch some zzzz’s I have a busy week between all the Mommy & Me Classes, Ballet and OT appointments…sigh feel for me please! ;)

Chrismari’s Room Banner

September 2, 2010 | Filed Under Hybrid | 2 Comments

I was so inspired last week and I created this gorgeous little project for my daughter’s room. I used my Summer Days Grab Bags (Noon Picnic and the Summer Days Shapes Cutting Files) and my new Banners Set 1 to create these adorable banners.

I layered the 2 different shapes one slightly larger than the other with some pop dots. I also made some medallions with my border punches. Lastly I used Making Memories Glitter Letters to spell out her name. I made some flowers with my Flower Templates and added some gems and lots of clear glitter!

This is sooo darling but I do think next time I will rather use my hot glue gun for all the embellishments! Hope you like it!

Canvas Wall Art

August 28, 2010 | Filed Under Hybrid | 5 Comments

I am so excited to share this project with you today! I created a mini-album for the February 2010 Digital Artist Magazine using Roben-Marie & Audrey’s collab Considering Ruby.

I printed out extras with the idea of making a 9 piece grid with the 3×3 inch squares…which until now has been sitting around in my craft room gathering dust.

While doing some shadow box art pieces I bought a 12×12 Canvas to see if it will work as a display and it did not…aaand then it all came together into this beautiful art project proudly displayed in the dining room…

So what do you think?

It was just so easy to make, I mounted the 3×3 squares onto cardboard…added excerpts from the E. E. Cummings Poem ‘I carry your heart in mine’ and hot glued everything in a grid onto a blank 12×12 canvas.

I just love it! It is so simple but beautiful!

Thanks so much for looking!

I am so excited about this beautiful project! I created these amazing Lace Diecuts for my Cutting Files August Grab Bag and they just spoke to my creative heart! ;) I just had to do something with it. So I printed some papers from my other Summer Days Grab Bag…dont you just LOVE Hybrid? I also love the fact that the 2 coordinate so well together! And I made this insert for a Shadow Box. I am still hunting for the perfect frame.

I also made one for my special friend Michelle…I hope she loves it! ;)
