Chrismari’s 5th Birthday Album and Pages

I finished this mini-album over the summer, just had not had a chance to photograph it yet. I used a mini album kit by Me & My Big Ideas. I added some Hambly Butterflies and Die-Cuts from the Cricut Once Upon a Princess Cartridges.

While I was on a roll I made these 2 pages also with her birthday photos:

I love my Slice! I did the alpha and butterflies with it.

Lots of Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday Goodies and I did some masking with my die cuts and Glimmer Mist. Dont you just love glittery alphabet stickers? Ooh I do soooo much! Hope you enjoyed these projects!

Back to School…

Okay yes I know school actually started a month ago But I am ‘finally’ (Or should I say Hopefully?) getting back on track. It is so funny when Chrismari was at home I had so much to do and so little time…now with her out of the house all morning I find I am sometimes walking around the house wondering what I should do? lol! I hope it is not some kind of empty nest syndrome or something. At least my house and laundry is up to date although I have been slacking in the creating department. Sigh I hate it when I get these slumps, I do think it is directly corellated with my mood plus I have this huge headache that just is not going away. Drinking a hot cup of tea and going to lie down for a few minutes while Christian is still napping…I think it is a good idea!

I am so proud of my little girl, she work so hard at school and is already reading up a storm at home. She cannot wait to get home and read her books for homework!

I made her some flash cards to practice her sight words. I laminated them in the hope that someday I might be able to use them for Christian! lol!

Each set includes a score card so we can make a little game of it. I chose not to put it onto a ring so we can keep it random and we can make a pile of words she knows and those she does not then she can count the ones she got right (yay number practice!) and review the ones she didn’t. I hope this will help her somewhat with the challenges she faces at school but she keeps on surprising me, she is so bright and the sweetest child!

In other news…a little birdie told me that my Brother is engaged!!! I am so excited for him, now I also have a very good reason to visit home you know I cannot miss a wedding!

And if you have not yet noticed, I entered the DSA Established Designer competition and I made 1st place in this weeks entry!!! OMG This is so exciting for me! Thank you to each and every fan/friend’s support I seriously appreciate it so much especially after I nearly gave up last week…I was just feeling so blue (Man I have to get out of this bad mood!)

I will chat again later but I have to go catch some zzzz’s I have a busy week between all the Mommy & Me Classes, Ballet and OT appointments…sigh feel for me please!

Sleep Oh Glorious Sleep

Christian is a sleeper…anywhere and everywhere is a comfy spot to just catch a few minutes of shut eye.

Just  yesterday he had 3 different spots, first on the floor – not very comfortable so he crawled onto the lazyboy. Now he was in prime position with his face all smooshed up and those baby lips begging for a kiss from Mommy.

I love his little bum bum sticking out like that! Aaawhhh!

And lastly onto his favorite position which looks so much more comfy to me too!

I love this so much…he is so like his Mommy, I just wish I could curl up next to him and nap! But how will I ever take photos?

Chrismari not wanting to be outdone ‘posed’ for me, pretending to be asleep.

lol! Not for long this little busybody of mine was up and running around before I could even put the camera away. She loves to play with her Strawberry Shortcake dolls and is telling me that this year she wants to dress up as Strawberry Shortcake (again!) for Halloween. Hmmm…already wondering about what we will do this year. I saw Target had some great costumes for only $20 – need to do a Target trip soon.

Cellphones and Keys are the BEST TOYS EVER! I think they win the award for BEST TOY found around the house each year. But really dont you just think this little man is so cute looking like a big boy with his phone?

I have been having so much fun editing these photos…although they are not the greatest (most of them are blurry) I used the Pioneer Woman’s Actions (Thanks Nicole for the suggestion!) for these photos and I just love the darling effects! Thanks for looking!

Eek! And I totally forgot to add look what is growing in my garden…

Yay I am so excited after months nagging DH I want Heirloom Tomatoes (They are soooo Divine!) we found a plant and just as it was sprouting some really cute tomatoes Chrismari picked it for her fruit salad. I just hope she stays away from this one!

I love my two little babies so much. This layout captures how much fun they have together and how lucky I am to have two such sweet and precious kids.

I used my New Confections Kit to create this page.

I have such exciting news to share but I need to wait for another week or so but I know you will be so happy with me! Doing the Happy Dance!

On an side note I got the organizing bug and although I have not gotten very far with my to do list the few things I did manage to get done just gave me this inner happiness that is just sooo amazing. Nothing soothes like clearing out clutter!

You are 5 years old! My but where has the time gone? I cannot believe this independant little girl is the same precious little angel we were blessed with 5 years ago!

We had so much fun…but it was soooo hot! Luckily we had the little splash pool otherwise we would have melted! ROFL! One thing that is great about her birthday being in June…it falls in the US Summer and not the middle of the winter as back home in SA! Here are some picture of the party…enjoy!

My Mother is leaving today. It was such a huge bonus having her here and sharing this special time with her. It was sad to say goodbye but I am so thankfull that for this short time she shared the wonder ofour little boy.
