Well I received my ink on Monday
and created this cute wall hanging over my computer work area using my NEW 2011 CD Calendar Template and Fallin 4 U.
I even did a tutorial! Wow I am feeling industrious! lol! Go over to the My Digital Art Studio Blog to see how I created this sweet calendar set.
Thanks for looking!

Yep the decorations are out and the pumpkins are on the doorstep. Still deciding if I will be carving them or maybe making some faces with Vinyl? Hmmm…
I love these Vintage Actions by Pioneer Woman.
The weather is freakishly warm and it is so weird especially since we had such a cold summer. But there is no doubt in my mind fall is in the air…it is just so peaceful with the wind blowing in the leaves.
Happy Hauntings!
I won! And I cannot believe it!

lol! Yes I did it! I am very proud of what I achieved but I am also humbled and so grateful. I love creating and this just eggs me on to fly higher and do better. I love pushing myself and I have been blessed with the best support system in this digital community. To my friends (you guys know who you are!
) I could not have done this without you…Thank you!
Look for these kits to debut in the TDC Shop with lots and lots of improvements and add ons…
And as a side note to anyone who doubts themselves…dont! Believe in yourself…as soon as you start having faith in yourself you will be amazed at the heights you can and will achieve!
Take Care and hope you have a wonderful weekend…I am so busy I have not even had a chance to answer my emails! Eek!
Another Flower Addiction…
October 2, 2010 | Filed Under Scrapbooking | 2 Comments
Yes I am one of those people that love flowers…my whole house can be full of flowers and it probably will still not be enough. I love the simple beauty of them and the fact that they just make me happy!
I have been dying to do these flowers by Rhonna Farrer on the Heidi Swapp Live webshows.
I got me some silk and pretty bling bling…love love!
Oh and the Fabri Tac. So one day the power went out and well since I just had nothing to do I started playing. These flowers really are so much fun to make and Chrismari wears it to school each day. She loves the rosette with the pretty flower gem. I need to get some feathers and netting too to make them even more fabulous.
And I never shared these either…
I was inspired to do this while looking at a project @ 2peas but for the life of me I cannot find a link to her project so you can see how she did it. If anybody knows please just let me know!
Thank so much for looking.
Chrismari’s 5th Birthday Album and Pages
September 29, 2010 | Filed Under Kitty, Scrapbooking | 2 Comments
I finished this mini-album over the summer, just had not had a chance to photograph it yet. I used a mini album kit by Me & My Big Ideas. I added some Hambly Butterflies and Die-Cuts from the Cricut Once Upon a Princess Cartridges.
While I was on a roll I made these 2 pages also with her birthday photos:
I scraplifted this page by Jen Jockish. Credits: Basic Grey Urban Prairie
Here is a closer look:
I love my Slice!
I did the alpha and butterflies with it.
Lots of Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday Goodies and I did some masking with my die cuts and Glimmer Mist. Dont you just love glittery alphabet stickers? Ooh I do soooo much!
Hope you enjoyed these projects!
Gordons Bay – My Hometown
September 28, 2010 | Filed Under Family | 2 Comments
With the recent Challenge at DSA for the Established Designer Contest I had to create a kit that showcases my home town. Well although I do live in Napa, CA and it is very beautiful here my heart still yearns for home – Gordons Bay. Also most of my family also lives there so there is more than enough reasons for me to miss it so much!
So I decided to share some pictures of the Town and Surroundings. These were the last photos I took before we left in 2008…so very Nostalgic to me.
Chrismari is ready for the beach…sunglasses in hand!
View towards the Naval Base and Old Harbor. Simons Town is far in the distance.
View Towards the Old Town and Shopping Center…lots of Restaurants and Shell Shops. Great place to go for a stroll.
Harbor Island in the Distance.
Footprints…aaah I so miss these moments!
Park Bench overlooking the sea.
More of the old town…
Kitty and the Penguins…look how tiny she was here! Only 3 years old…man oh man, where has the time gone?
View from the Main Beach…if you look closely you will see ‘Moeder Maria’ i.e. Mother Maria. It is the back of Table Mountain aptly named after Jan Van Riebeeck our founding father’s wife.
Beautiful NG Church..lots of Weddings are held here in these scenic surroundings.
Last one of the old town and the Majestic Hottentots Holland Mountains in the background.
Need I say more? I hope you enjoyed these pictures. It did my heart good to share it. Thank you for stopping by!
Back to School…

Okay yes I know school actually started a month ago
But I am ‘finally’ (Or should I say Hopefully?) getting back on track. It is so funny when Chrismari was at home I had so much to do and so little time…now with her out of the house all morning I find I am sometimes walking around the house wondering what I should do? lol! I hope it is not some kind of empty nest syndrome or something. At least my house and laundry is up to date although I have been slacking in the creating department. Sigh I hate it when I get these slumps, I do think it is directly corellated with my mood plus I have this huge headache that just is not going away. Drinking a hot cup of tea and going to lie down for a few minutes while Christian is still napping…I think it is a good idea!
I am so proud of my little girl, she work so hard at school and is already reading up a storm at home. She cannot wait to get home and read her books for homework!
I made her some flash cards to practice her sight words. I laminated them in the hope that someday I might be able to use them for Christian! lol!

Each set includes a score card so we can make a little game of it. I chose not to put it onto a ring so we can keep it random and we can make a pile of words she knows and those she does not then she can count the ones she got right (yay number practice!) and review the ones she didn’t. I hope this will help her somewhat with the challenges she faces at school but she keeps on surprising me, she is so bright and the sweetest child!
In other news…a little birdie told me that my Brother is engaged!!! I am so excited for him, now I also have a very good reason to visit home you know I cannot miss a wedding!
And if you have not yet noticed, I entered the DSA Established Designer competition and I made 1st place in this weeks entry!!! OMG This is so exciting for me! Thank you to each and every fan/friend’s support I seriously appreciate it so much especially after I nearly gave up last week…I was just feeling so blue (Man I have to get out of this bad mood!)
I will chat again later but I have to go catch some zzzz’s I have a busy week between all the Mommy & Me Classes, Ballet and OT appointments…sigh feel for me please!
Sleep Oh Glorious Sleep
September 16, 2010 | Filed Under Christian, Family, Kitty | 3 Comments
Christian is a sleeper…anywhere and everywhere is a comfy spot to just catch a few minutes of shut eye.
JustĀ yesterday he had 3 different spots, first on the floor – not very comfortable so he crawled onto the lazyboy. Now he was in prime position with his face all smooshed up and those baby lips begging for a kiss from Mommy.
I love his little bum bum sticking out like that! Aaawhhh!
And lastly onto his favorite position which looks so much more comfy to me too!
I love this so much…he is so like his Mommy, I just wish I could curl up next to him and nap! But how will I ever take photos?
Chrismari not wanting to be outdone ‘posed’ for me, pretending to be asleep.
lol! Not for long this little busybody of mine was up and running around before I could even put the camera away. She loves to play with her Strawberry Shortcake dolls and is telling me that this year she wants to dress up as Strawberry Shortcake (again!) for Halloween. Hmmm…already wondering about what we will do this year. I saw Target had some great costumes for only $20 – need to do a Target trip soon.
Cellphones and Keys are the BEST TOYS EVER! I think they win the award for BEST TOY found around the house each year. But really dont you just think this little man is so cute looking like a big boy with his phone?
I have been having so much fun editing these photos…although they are not the greatest (most of them are blurry) I used the Pioneer Woman’s Actions (Thanks Nicole for the suggestion!) for these photos and I just love the darling effects! Thanks for looking!
Eek! And I totally forgot to add look what is growing in my garden…
Yay I am so excited after months nagging DH I want Heirloom Tomatoes (They are soooo Divine!) we found a plant and just as it was sprouting some really cute tomatoes Chrismari picked it for her fruit salad. I just hope she stays away from this one!
Chrismari’s Room Banner
September 2, 2010 | Filed Under Hybrid | 2 Comments
I was so inspired last week and I created this gorgeous little project for my daughter’s room. I used my Summer Days Grab Bags (Noon Picnic and the Summer Days Shapes Cutting Files) and my new Banners Set 1 to create these adorable banners.
I layered the 2 different shapes one slightly larger than the other with some pop dots. I also made some medallions with my border punches. Lastly I used Making Memories Glitter Letters to spell out her name. I made some flowers with my Flower Templates and added some gems and lots of clear glitter!
This is sooo darling but I do think next time I will rather use my hot glue gun for all the embellishments! Hope you like it!
Canvas Wall Art
August 28, 2010 | Filed Under Hybrid | 5 Comments
I am so excited to share this project with you today! I created a mini-album for the February 2010 Digital Artist Magazine using Roben-Marie & Audrey’s collab Considering Ruby.
I printed out extras with the idea of making a 9 piece grid with the 3×3 inch squares…which until now has been sitting around in my craft room gathering dust.
While doing some shadow box art pieces I bought a 12×12 Canvas to see if it will work as a display and it did not…aaand then it all came together into this beautiful art project proudly displayed in the dining room…
So what do you think?
It was just so easy to make, I mounted the 3×3 squares onto cardboard…added excerpts from the E. E. Cummings Poem ‘I carry your heart in mine’ and hot glued everything in a grid onto a blank 12×12 canvas.
I just love it! It is so simple but beautiful!
Thanks so much for looking!
