Tutorial: Calendar Wall Hanging
October 20th, 2010I just have to share this super easy project I did using my NEW 2011 CD Calendar Template and Fallin For You. I love CD Calendars and Desktop Calendars but I have a busy (almost) 2 year old who loves to play with anything and everything on Mommy’s desk so I had to do something that would be out of reach of a certain someones hands. So I decided to do something on the wall.
Here is what you will need to make your very own.
- 12 Printed & Trimmed CD Calendar Templates
- 12 Washing Pegs
- 2 Wall Pins
- Pretty Twine
- Hot Glue Gun
- Butterfly Punch
- Embellishments
- Paper Strips
Make Butterfly Die-cuts using your punch. I used the Martha Stewart Punch, Classic Butterfly.
Make 14 Butterflies by layering at least 2 with a button/pearl/brad. Fold back the wings to give them dimension. I used Cream Resin Blossoms from Maya Road on some of them…oooh so pretty!
Then glue it to your washing pegs and we are almost ready to go…
Decide where you want to hang it up and thread your twine onto the pins, tie them securely. Add your washing pegs and Calendar pages.
Now isn’t that just pretty? Enjoy and if you want to make a Desktop CD Calendar please visit this post I did on the Hybrid Chick Blog last year.
Thanks for looking!
